Our Background

DGY Services was a small, home based PC Service business, serving local Lisle- Naperville, Illinois area. Dave Yost was the Sole Proprietor of the business and has many years of experience with home computers, networks, and wireless technology. A former Bell Labs /Lucent Technologies (Now Nokia) Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, Dave retired in July 2001 and ran DGY Services as a part time business venture. The initial service area was targeted at the nearby Lisle/Naperville area.

Dave has an BSEE from Drexel University and a MSEE from Brown University. He has worked at ATT Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies for 32 years and retired in July of 2001. Following retirement, Dave entered the boating supply business as a sales associate and was the Assistant Store Manager at the Lombard, IL West Marine store until late 2007. In that capacity, he learned a lot about marine electronics as well as a lot about retail store operations and sales.

He and his family  lived in Lisle, IL for 30 years where he established DGY Services in the fall of 2001.

The DGY Services business is now Willabay Design LLC in Williams Bay, Wisconsin . The new company will produce software for TibboTechnologies programmable products with a focus on alarm systems design, web based alert system reporting, and other internet services for small business and groups. Willabay Design LLC was registered in Wisconsin in October of 2011.

While at ATT Bell Labs (Later Bell Labs at Lucent Technologies), Dave had been involved in communications networks of all flavors including SS 7 signalling systems, X.25 networks, ISDN, and cellular networks. He was one of the original architects for the first ATT Bell Labs digital cellular switching systems. Dave’s technical specialty was network protocols and he worked on systems for applications in the US, Japan, and China. His earlier work has been in the areas of system integrity, system recovery, and maintainability. This has proven to be an excellent background for him to move into the field of embedded system security software.

More recently, Willabay Design has combined software projects designed for the Tibbo device market with website software written in PHP. This allows the company to market an end-to-end solution for various security and home monitoring applications. The small size of the company allows Willabay Design to offer its products at a cost considerably below other in the field.

Willabay Design has worked with other companies on special projects such as remote monitoring of weather stations and other special purpose instrumentation.
