Search Form Instructions – General Search

The general search form is Search_Table_Form. This form can be used to perform a search over all of the sensors in a specific system that is assigned for a given customer code. This form is typically used by a property manager or owner who is concerned with the entire system.

The parameters for this form include a required Customer Code (CC), a System Number or Name of a set of host sites that comprise one system (This could be a complex name for a group of condos), and a variety of search parameters to narrow a search. A search can also be optionally be directed at all sensors for a given Host Name or a given Building Name.

This form can also be used to find all of the sensors that still have a Building Name of “NEW”, indicating that those sensors have just been assigned and not yet been named.

This detail search parameters include a low or high temperature threshold, a low or high humidity threshold, a search for sensors with an active External IO signal (such as a water alarm),

Search Form Instructions – Specific Location Search

The specific location search form is Display_Unit_Form. This form can be used to perform a search for the current sensor data for a given sensor on a specific host or in a specific building that is associated with a system that is assigned for a given customer code. This form is typically used by an individual property owner who wants to check the status of one specific location or sensor.

The parameters for this form include a required Customer Code (CC), a System Number or Name of a set of host sites that comprise one system (This could be a complex name for a group of condos), and a choice of a given Host Name/ Sensor Number or a given Building Name/ Unit Name.

Update Form Instructions

The update form is Update_System_Form.This form is used to update the network password for all of the hosts in a given system. It is also used to assign or change the From and To Email Addresses that are used by a given customer. This “To” email is used anytime that the EDMS remote portal software has to communicate an error condition to the customer.

The required parameters for this form include a required Customer Code (CC), a System Number, and either the old and new network passwords or the email addresses. The existing network password is required even if the password is not going to change.
